Banana Chocolate Cake

Today, I want to give you a Banana Chocolate Cake, flavor-guaranteed, and easy Banana Chocolate Cake Recipe. Nowadays, at my son’s insistence, we often go to the kitchen together and make cakes, pastries, and cookies. I don’t know if it’s just a passing fad, but he really enjoys putting together and mixing the ingredients. When I say it’s over, now we’re going to put it in the oven, he gets upset and says let’s do something else. This cake was made at such a time, even though there were two kinds of sweets at home, just for my son to whisk eggs.

Ingredients:

  • Sponge:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 1 cup of flour
  • ½ cup of starch
  • ½ teaspoon of lemon juice
  • ½ cup of hot water
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla (or 1 packet of vanilla sugar)
  • Cream:
  • 2.5 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of flour (wipe)
  • ½ tablespoon of starch
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla (or 1 packet of vanilla sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 30 g dark chocolate
  • Also:
  • 1 tea glass of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar (for soaking the cake)
  • 2 bananas (between)
  • 50 g grated dark chocolate (for the top and sides)

Fabrication of Banane Chocolate Cake:

  1. Preparation of the sponge cake:
  2. Set your oven to 170 degrees and run it.
  3. Cut wax paper and put it on the base of your mold. I used an 18 cm springform mold, but 20 cm can also be used.
  4. Separate the yolks and whites of the eggs and place them in a separate mixing bowl. Even a drop of egg yolk should not be smeared with egg whites and the bowls in which you will whisk the eggs should be dry.
  5. Start beating the egg whites with the mixer. Add the lemon juice and whisk until it foams well and looks like snow. Add half of the sugar and continue beating. When you turn it upside down, you should whisk it until the mixture does not flow and remains stable.
  6. Add the remaining sugar to the egg yolks and beat for 5-6 minutes. Add the hot water little by little while continuing to whisk. Add the vanilla and beat for another 1-2 minutes. Mix the flour and starch in a separate bowl and add to the egg yolks. I definitely use a sieve at this stage. In other words, I put the flour, starch, and cocoa in a sieve and sift them over the egg yolks. Mix all the ingredients with a spoon.
  7. Add half of the beaten egg whites to the mixture of egg yolks and mix slowly with a spoon, from bottom to top. Do not mix too much and extinguish, it is enough for the mixture to be one color. Add the remaining egg whites, mix them carefully, and pour them into your mold. Cover the mold with aluminum foil and put it in the oven.
  8. After 30 minutes of cooking, remove the foil and continue cooking. After 5-10 minutes, insert a toothpick into the middle. If the toothpick comes out dry when you take it out, take it out of the oven. Remove from the mold after it has cooled.
  9. I recommend that you rest your sponge cake for a day before using it.
  10. Preparation of the Cream:
  11. Take the flour, starch, sugar, cocoa, egg in the pot and mix. Add the milk little by little and mix with a wire whisk. Cook over medium heat, stirring until it thickens and turns golden. Turn off the heat and add the vanilla and chocolate. When the chocolate melts, beat it with a mixer for 2-3 minutes, or beat it by hand using a wire whisk.
  12. Assembling the Cake:
  13. Cut the sponge cake in half horizontally with the help of a cake folder or a large knife.
  14. Mix 1 tea glass of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar and wet the inner surface of the sponge cake layers with sugar milk. I use an egg brush for this.
  15. Spread the cream you prepared on the sponge cake layer. Place the banana slices on it. Apply cream again and place the other sponge cake layer on top. Cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining cream.
  16. Grate the chocolate with the fine side of the grater and sprinkle it all over the cake.
  17. Chill it in the refrigerator.

Baking powder is not used in this recipe, but for the success of the recipe, the steps of making the sponge cake must be carefully followed!
